Kruger national park is the largest game park and is considered to be the best African safari destination. Here, besides watching the wild beasts in their natural habitat, one can see a wide variety of flora and bird-watch about 517 different species of birds, many of which are also rare.
The dry and the winter seasons are considered to be the best time to go on an African safari tour to this park. During this time the trees and bushes don’t have leaves and the grass is low. Therefore you can have an unobstructed view of the wildlife and surroundings.
Heavy rains occur during the summer season in this park. Therefore the waterholes and rivers are filled with water. The bushes are also thick. Therefore, game viewing becomes difficult and it is hard to locate the wild animals.
Winter is dry with less rain. Therefore, if you go on an African safari tour to this park during the winter season, you will be able to watch animals when they come to the waterholes during the mornings and evenings.
Many people prefer to go on an African safari to this park during the months of November and early December as during this time the park is filled with newborns. Watching wildlife along with their little ones is one of the most memorable experiences which one can gather during a safari.
Autumn is not considered to be a suitable time to visit this park, as the grass is high and dense. However, it is the best time for bird watching in the Kruger national park.
